· Innovate with Nature: Use care farming and nature-based practices to enhance traditional therapy in a non-traditional, therapeutic setting.

· Foster Compassionate Care: Prioritize the well-being of both clients and animals, ensuring interactions are safe, respectful, and therapeutic.

· Empower Through Support: Guide youth with individualized treatment plans, counseling, and case management, always centering their goals and progress.

· Promote Excellence: Maintain detailed records, participate in multidisciplinary meetings, and uphold the highest ethical and professional standards.

· Be a Voice for Good: Represent GAAMHA with authenticity and compassion, embodying our mission of service and connection.

What Sets You Apart

· A bachelor’s degree in mental health counseling or a related field, preference is given to candidates who hold active license/certification (CADC/LADC, LMHC, LSW, LICSW etc.)

· At least 1 year of experience working with youth or young adults navigating substance use or mental health challenges.

· A belief in and commitment to multiple pathways to recovery, including MAT/MOUD.

· A background in Animal-Assisted Services, Equine Therapy, or working with livestock preferred.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the cultural humility to meet clients where they are.

· Proficiency in MS Office, compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, and a valid driver’s license.

· Lived experience in recovery (minimum of 2 years of continuous sobriety) is welcomed.

What You Can Expect

· An opportunity to bring your altruistic spirit to a nonprofit organization dedicated to making a tangible, lasting impact.

· A role where your work directly improves the lives of vulnerable youth and strengthens the fabric of our community.

· A supportive team of like-minded individuals committed to innovation, compassion, and measurable outcomes.

Who You’ll Support
